From airport exit proceed straight through stoplight toward Lihue on Ahukini Road. At second stoplight, turn left onto Highway 56S. Highway 56S merges into Kaumualii Highway 50. Head west on Highway 50 approximately 6.6 miles. Follow signs to Poipu/Koloa, turn left on Maluhia road thru the Tunnel of Trees to Koloa Road. Turn right on Koloa Road and take first left at Chevron station onto Poipu Road. Continue 2.2 miles (stay left on roundabout). You will see our entrance on the right after the Kiahuna Plantation. We share the same driveway as the Waiohai…continue to end of driveway.

With a focus on natural and indigenous ingredients, such as seaweed, pineapple, Awapuhi root, Red Kauai clay, maile, pikake, guava and coconut, the Koa Kea Spa offers a variety of treatments specifically dedicated to easing the body after a day of vigorous activity on the island.

The design of our Spa is in keeping with the rest of the hotel, drawing inspiration from the natural landscape of Hawaii to create a peaceful and calming sanctuary. Neutral colors are used throughout, with an emphasis on tone and texture to create a sense of light and movement that is reminiscent of the ocean.

Spas on Kauai, including our Koa Kea Resort Spa, offer a variety of relaxing massages, wraps and facials. Our services are available inside the spa, or can be delivered at the oceanside or as in-suite massages. In addition, a number of in-suite baths can be arranged, given the important role of water therapies in Hawaiian healing practices. Guests can enjoy a pampering bathing experience that includes natural ingredients, such as cleansing Awapuhi Root and moisturizing Kukui and Coconut Oils.

Red Salt offers an ideal setting regardless of time of day. A daily Breakfast Buffet combines traditional American fare with fresh tropical fruit, breakfast bakery selections, assorted juices and an omelet station. In Hawaiian, the name Koa Kea translates to "white coral." According to Hawaiian mythology, the ancient Hawaiian world began with the birth of the goddess Po, whose first grandchild was the coral, the goddess Hina. Hina, short for Wahine meaning "woman", is a powerful source of new life and spirituality. Weather on Kauai

In Kauai almost every day is sunny with temperatures dropping just enough later for pleasant evenings. The island offers micro climates with lush spots as well as dry, arid areas. Mount Waialeale is at the heart of Kauai and is the quintessential rainforest with over 400 inches of rain each year. However, while it is raining there the rest of the island is enjoying warm breezes and sunny skies.

Temperatures are fairly constant throughout the year with most high temperatures between 78 and 85 degrees and the low temperatures between 65 and 74 degrees.

Cancellation Policies
For arrivals starting January 10 through December 19, reservations must be cancelled by 3pm - 72 hours prior to arrival unless otherwise specified when booking. Refund of deposit if cancellation received by 3pm - 72 hours prior to arrival, otherwise a one night's deposit penalty applies.

For arrivals starting December 20 through January 9th, cancellation is by October 31st. Refund of deposit if cancellation received by October 31st, otherwise a two night's room and tax penalty will be charged for guests who cancel their reservation between November 1st and November 30th or Full prepayment of deposit is forfeited if cancellation is between December 1st and January 9th.

No shows are subject to forfeiture of entire deposits.

Other peak periods and holidays may have additional cancellation restrictions, which are stated during the booking process.

Deposits & Guarantees
There is a deposit requirement of two night's room & tax due within 10 days of booking. A credit card deposit may be given at the time of booking to guarantee the room. Special event periods and holidays may require a special deposit depending on the time of booking and will be stated during the booking process. For arrivals starting December 20 through January 9th, Full prepayments are due by the November 30th prior to the arrival date.

A valid credit card is required at check-in. In addition to room and tax an additional $150 USD per night will be held on your credit card to guarantee any incidental charges at check in.

An early departure fee of $75.00 will be charged should your departure date reservations change once you have checked in.  

Check-In/Check-Out
Check-In time is 3pm. Checkout time is 12 noon. Early Check-In is by request only and not guaranteed. Late Checkout must be coordinated with the hotel if it is available. The hotel does have a departure lounge for guests to use to freshen up before their flights. Guests must registered with a valid credit card and be at least 18 years old to check in.

Pets
Due to our location, we have a limited amount of pet friendly rooms. Therefore, it is imperative that arrangements are made directly with the Resort's Director of Rooms. Email us at Info@KoaKea.com. We welcome dogs under 25 lbs. however, due to Department of Health regulations we will limit their acc ess to certain areas of the resort.

Resort fees for pets are $100 + tax per day and includes food & water bowl, toys and treats.

Hawaii is rabies-free and State law states that pets are required to complete a 120-day confinement in the State Animal Quarantine Station.
